Find and manage your books

The Library shows what needs attention and the sidebar keeps every book task close.

Read the Library

Use All, Writing, Ready to finish, and Finished to narrow the shelf. The continue card returns you to the most useful next step; each book also shows its status and chapter progress. Use the sort control when you want the newest or oldest work first.

An empty Library keeps the new-book composer in view so the next useful action is always available.

Use the sidebar

The open book expands into Overview, Manuscript, Notes & research, Look & cover, Launch elsewhere, and Publish here. Global places are Library, Readers, and Author profile.

The bottom of the sidebar holds your plan meter, appearance choice, Help & guides, and account menu. Fold or expand the sidebar with Command-B on Mac or Control-B on Windows and Linux.

Search across your work

Search books, chapters, and notes from one box with Command-K or Control-K. Type a query, move through the returned results with the arrow keys, and press Enter to open one. The result labels tell you whether you are opening a book, chapter, or note.

Move a book to trash

Moving a book to trash takes its live public page offline and starts a 30-day recovery window. Open the book card’s More menu, choose Move to trash, and confirm the title shown in the dialog.

There is no Trash screen in the app. Contact hello@chapbook.ink during the recovery window if you need the book restored.
