Ebook title generator: title and subtitle ideas for your book

Describe the book in a sentence or two, who it is for and what it helps them do, and the generator suggests up to 8 titles, each with a subtitle that names the reader or the promise. Pick one and it opens as a new book in Chapbook. It is free and needs no account, and what you type is kept only as a fingerprint.

Ebook title generator

Chapbook's AI writes the answer. What you send is kept only as a fingerprint, for abuse checks.

For example

The titles Chapbook's planner proposed for Five Pricing Mistakes, from its brief:

  1. 1Five Pricing Mistakes
  2. 2The Price You Guessed
  3. 3Priced by Accident
  4. 4A Number You Can Explain
  5. 5Why Your First Price Is Wrong
Open in Chapbook

It opens a new book with your description and the title you pick. Nothing runs, and nothing costs a credit, until you choose Generate there.

How the generator works

Your description goes to Chapbook’s AI with one job: name the book. It writes titles that differ from each other on purpose, some leading with the promise, some with curiosity and some plain how-to, each with a subtitle that says who the book is for or what it helps them do. Titles that repeat each other are dropped before you see them.

The one you pick becomes the start of a new book in Chapbook, with your description as its brief. From there Chapbook’s planner proposes a chapter outline and more title options of its own, the way it did for the sample books on this site.

Questions people ask

Is the ebook title generator free?

Yes, and it needs no account. A Cloudflare check stands in for a sign-in, each network has a limit, and the tool pauses for the day once it reaches its daily allowance.

What makes a good ebook title?

One that says what the reader gets, in the words they would search for. A subtitle can then name who it is for or the result, which lets the title itself stay short.

Should an ebook have a subtitle?

Usually, for nonfiction. The title catches the eye and the subtitle does the explaining: who the book is for, or what it helps them do. Every idea the generator gives comes with one.

Can I use these titles?

Yes, they are yours to use. Search the store you publish on first, since a title cannot be owned but a famous one will be hard to stand out from.

What happens to what I type?

It is sent to Chapbook to write the answer and kept only as a hash, a fingerprint for spotting abuse. The text itself is not stored, and nothing is saved to an account.
