# Lead magnet idea generator: ideas from your website

Enter your website's address. Chapbook reads that page, says in a line what you offer and to whom, and suggests up to 5 lead magnets your visitors would trade an email address for, each with a working title, its reader and its promise. Pick one and it opens as the brief of a new book in Chapbook. It is free and needs no account.

## What the generator does

Give it your website's address. Chapbook's API reads that one public page itself, through the same guard it uses for a book's web sources: http and https only, never an address on a private network, a size cap and a timeout. Its first 6,000 characters of readable text go to Chapbook's AI, which says in a line what the site offers and to whom, then suggests up to 5 lead magnets its visitors would trade an email address for. Each has a working title, its reader, its promise and a kind. The one you pick opens as the brief of a new book in Chapbook.

## The kinds it suggests

| Kind | Length in Chapbook |
|---|---|
| Lead magnet | 1,000–10,000 words |
| Workbook | 1,000–20,000 words |
| Illustrated guide | 2,000–8,000 words |
| Collection | 1,500–10,000 words |
| Brochure | 200–1,500 words |

## What happens to what you send

What you send goes to Chapbook's API, which asks Chapbook's AI and returns the answer. It is kept only as a hash, for abuse checks: never the text, and never in an account. Each request passes a Cloudflare Turnstile check and a per-network limit, and the tools pause for the day once they reach their daily allowance. The page is read once, to answer, and not stored.

## How the generator works

Chapbook's API reads the page you name itself, through the same guard it uses for a book's web sources: public http and https pages only, never an address on a private network, with a size cap and a timeout. It keeps the page's readable text, drops the navigation, and hands the start of it to Chapbook's AI.

The AI says in one line what the site offers and to whom, then suggests lead magnets that follow from it: each a kind of book Chapbook makes, with a working title, the reader it is for and the promise it keeps. The one you pick becomes a new book's brief, ready for Chapbook to plan.

Reader: A technical or product-minded founder who set the price by copying a competitor or guessing, and suspects it is wrong. Voice: Short paragraphs, concrete examples with realistic fictional companies, no invented statistics or studies; reason from mechanics and examples.

The outline the planner proposed:

1. Introduction (291 words)
2. Mistake 1: Copying a competitor (558 words)
3. Mistake 2: One tier for everyone (588 words)
4. Mistake 3: Never asking (608 words)
5. Mistake 4: Anchoring on your costs (641 words)
6. Mistake 5: Never revisiting the number (606 words)

## Questions

### Is the lead magnet idea generator free?

Yes, and it needs no account. A Cloudflare check stands in for a sign-in, each network has a limit, and the tool pauses for the day once it reaches its daily allowance.

### What is a good lead magnet?

A short, specific piece that solves one problem your visitors already have, and leads naturally to what you sell. A checklist, a short guide or a workbook usually beats a long ebook.

### Which page should I enter?

The one that says best what you sell and to whom, usually the home page or a product page. It has to be public: the generator cannot read a page behind a login.

### Does the generator store my website?

It reads the page once to answer and keeps the address only as a hash, a fingerprint for spotting abuse. Nothing is saved to an account.
